This study examined the perceptions of master teachers regarding their performance in the public elementary schools of the Division of Negros Oriental during the school year 1989-1990. The research assessed instructional leadership, supervisory functions, professional responsibilities, and administrative performance of master teachers and identified areas needing improvement. Findings served as the basis for a recommended action plan intended to strengthen teacher performance, instructional supervision, and educational management practices in public elementary schools. Related studies on master teacher performance and instructional leadership emphasize the importance of professional development and supervisory competencies in improving educational outcomes. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
