520			_aThis study illustrated the level of competency in writing that affects the students' comprehension. It used descriptive-correlational research design. It was revealed that majority of the students have a high competency in terms of conceptual and a moderate level of competency on vocabulary and a high level of competency in terms of grammatical aspect.
