Despite the fact that vinegar is generally safe, too much of a good thing can be dangerous. 15 out of 17 brands of vinegar that are sold in the major supermarket in the Philippines are synthetic acetic acid, according to a research. It contains chemicals to make it taste more like vinegar, even if it is only fermented for a brief time, rather than naturally fermented like coconut or sugarcane. In financial aspects the business is profitable, according to figures. Lastly, in terms of socio-economic, the purpose of SinaPak Vinegar Manufacturing Co. is not only to make money.
