520 | _aThis study aimed to identify the influence of sleep patterns on academic performance among second-year and third-year nursing students at Foundation University. The study utilized a descriptive correlational design. The study included 222 nursing students from Foundation University levels 2 and 3.The researchers used validated questionnaires to investigate the relationship between students' sleep patterns and academic achievement. Chi-square, Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, and weighted mean was used in treating the data. The study revealed that there is no significant relationship between the sleep pattern and academic performance of thestudents.The study emphasizes how critical it is to support nursing students' sound sleep practices in order to improve both their general wellbeing and academic performance. These realizations can inform the development of programs and guidelines aimed at improving student performance through improved sleep hygiene.The respondents were purposively taken to determine their sleep pattern, sleep quality and sleep schedule regularity in relation to their academic performance. Thes tudy revealed that students who follow regular sleep schedules and get enough resttypically outperform their peers who have irregular or insufficient sleep in terms oft heir academic performance. | ||
