520 | _aThis qualitative study explores the lived experience of nurses taking care ofpatients undergoing hemodialysis which aims to understand the different aspects ofthis specialized role. Nurses play a crucial role in the lives of hemodialysis patients;several studies have explored the lived experience of patients undergoinghemodialysis while less studies focused on nurses' who provide care at hemodialysis.This imbalance createsa knowledge gap that researchers aim to fill in.Through semi-structured interviews with 8 hemodialysis nurses, the study utilizes the Colaizzi'smethod of data analysis to uncover key themes of their professional lives. Thefindings revealed five (5) emergent themes; personalized-health care, workplacehurdles, resiliency practices,motivating triggers, and occupational advancement.This study provides valuable insights into the lived experience of hemodialysisnurses,emphasizing the need for improved working conditions, adequate supportsystems, and recognition of their essential role in providing compassionate andeffective care to hemodialysis patients. | ||
