Compensation administration is one of the key functions of Human Resource Management. It pertains to the effective management of the compensation and benefits of all the employees in an organization. _rCynthia A. Zarate, DBA, obtained her Master of Business Administration from the Ateneo de Manila University and her Doctor of Business Administration from the Jose Rizal University. She took up a dual baccalaureate degree from St. Scholastica's College: Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, and Bachelor ofScience ni Commercemajor ni Marketing Management (cumlaude). She has served in various capacities, such as research head, graduate school coordinator, club moderator and full-time faculty member ni college and ni the graduate school ni various institutions, such as San Beda College-Manila, San Beda College-Alabang, Saint Francis of Assisi College, and University ofPerpetual Help System-DALTA. Dr. Zarate has also gained more than 15 years of solid experience ni various organizations, such as manufacturing, hotel-apartelle, and pharmaceutical, occupying key positions in human resource management, such as recruitment, personnel services, employee relations, andcommunications. She is the author of OrganizationalBehavior and Business Policy and Strategypublishedby Rex book Store, Inc. She spent five years ni professionaljournalism andhas written articles for the Philippine Daily Inquirer and the PhilippineTribune. Currently, she is a graduate school professor and a research adviser.
