520 | _aABSTRACT This study aims to determine the feasibility of producing and selling Sorbetes deCalabaza,a squash-based ice cream made from native kalabasa, as a unique and locally inspired alternative in the frozen dessert market of Dumaguete City,Negros Oriental. The study examines various aspects including product development, market demand,production processes,management,and financial viability. Surveys conducted among working professionals reveal a strong interest in trying kalabasa-flavored ice cream,indicating promisingmarket acceptance for this novel product. Findings show that with proper costing, competitive pricing, effective marketingstrategies,and reliable sourcing of abundant local squash, the production of Sorbetes deCalabaza is financially feasible and profitable. Support from local suppliers and the uniquenature of the product contribute to the business's strong potential for success. In conclusion, the study proves that Sorbetes de Calabaza is a promising business opportunity. With strategic planning,dedicated effort,and community support, it has the potential to thrive in the local frozen dessert market and contribute positively to the regional economy. | ||
