520 _aAbstract Pregnancy that occurs during the perimenopausal stage often brings unfamiliar physical, emotional, and social challenges. Yet, despite its growing relevance, this topic remains underexplored in reproductive health discussions. This study aimed to understand how WOmen who became pregnant in this stage experienced and coped with these challenges. Conducted in Dumaguete City, Philippines, the research used a qualitative descriptive design, with data gathered through individual interviews involving seven Women. The final participant count was guided by data saturation, reached when no new insights or patterns emerged. Thematic analysis, guided by Braun and Clarke's approach, and organized using Roy's Adaptation Model, led to the development of five themes and thirteen subthemes. Participants described feelings of fear, emotional vulnerability, and uncertainty, yet also expressed pride in overcoming the demands of pregnancy and motherhood. The presence of supportive family members and access to healthcare played a key role in helping them adapt. The findings highlight the complex and deeply personal nature of pregnancy in perimenopause and emphasize the importance of responsive, individualized care for women navigating this rare experience.
