520 _aABSTRACT To address the demand of growing population of senior high and college students as well as young professionals while introducing safety, security, convenience and comfort to a modern day dormitory, the researcher conducted a study on establishing "Capsule-Like Pod" Dormitory at In order to validate its feasibility, the Villa Amada Subdivision, Pulantubig, Dumaguete City. researcher conducted a survey to 403 respondents who are senior high and college students coming from Silliman University and St. Paul University including the young professionals from Qualfon Company in Dumaguete. Purposive sampling was used to select the respondents who are not residents of Dumaguete and has the capacity to pay the monthly rental. A structured questionnaire was distributed to gather the data. The following aspects were examined: marketing, technical, management, financial and socio-economic aspects. Based on the data gathered, the researcher finds the establishment of the proposed business feasible. On the marketing aspect, the proposed business can compete in the market being a dormitory that is one of its kind in the city. It offers competitive amenities and provides comfort, convenience, safety and security to the tenants. On the technical side, the newly built building will be an upgrade of what a normal dormitory should be. It is powered by the latest technology to ensure safety and security of the tenants. In the management aspect, the personnel hired will be given the necessary training, standard compensation and other benefits required by law to prevent a fast turnover of personnel. n the financial analysis while taking into account realistic assumptions, the result showed that the undertaking is financially viable. Finally, the business can contribute a positive socio-economic impact to the community, government and most of all to the lives of the students and young professionals.
