Determines the effectiveness of activity-based teaching strategy of adding and subtracting integers; study reveals that the students' common errors performing addition and subtraction of integers were as follows: (a) forgetting to copy the sign of the bigger number when adding integers with unlike signs; (b) getting confused about whether to add or subtract the number when adding integers with the same signs; (c) getting confused in terms of applying the rules of addition when subtracting integers.
