"There are many ways to appreciate the arts and we all have varying experiences of it. Art appreciation is written by millennials and younger generation. It is intended for all types of student from all disciplines, hence, one does not have to be an arts or music major to use this module.
Lessons are interconnected and arranged in a progressive way. Concepts are presented in a simple way to familiarized and endear readers to the subjective worlds of visual arts and music, enabling them to attain a certain degree of literacy and appreciation for the two fields. Experiential learning through various creative activities and exposure is employed aside from the usual lectures and discussions.
Comprehensive and holistic in approach, this module relates the arts and music to other aspects of human life, identifying their relevance to society and how they shape us both individually and collectively as people."--Back cover
