"Aims tp determine the buying behavior or pattern among the local people of Dumaguete in choosing what type of laundry detergent to use. The researchers use descriptive method. The respondents of the study are 400 local people of Dumaguete City during the year 2019-2020. From the survey conducted, it is observed that majority of the respondents wash their own cloths on a daily basis. Findings also revealed the Dumagueteños prefer using powdered laundry detergent over the bar and liquid ones, most especially when washing either white, colored or huge loads of clothing garments. Also, Dumagueteños are mostly influenced by the quality of the product and that is why they repeatedly purchase a certain type of laundry detergent. Since majority of the respondents prefer using powdered laundry detergents, The researchers would like to recommend liquid laundry detergent manufacturers to improve their advertising schemes so that several potential customers can be enticed to try the product given that majority of the respondents use the powdered one." --Abstract
