Rivers is extremely important in the development of human communities throughout history and continue to be so now. Rivers were among the most important sources of water for humans, serving as primary water resources for activities such as drinking, cooking, and bathing, cultivating crops in areas with insufficient rainfall, and producing electricity. the study focused on the respondents living in the downstream, midstream, and upstream areas of Banica River. The tools used by the researcher in analyzing the date were the following: Weighted mean, this was used in getting the attitude interpretation and extent of pratices and problems. percentage, this was used to profile the respondents in the three areas. Descriptive statistics, this was used in describing features of a data and the Analysis or Variance (ANOVA, used to analyze the differences between the means of more than two groups on the differences of river utilization in upstream, midstream, and downstream of Banica, River Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. The goal of this research was to establish how the three study areas of the Banica River differ in their utilization and in terms of their Knowledge, Attitude, and Practices toward river,. Based on the gathered data, it showed respondents from the midstream got the highest average percentage of knowledge of 71.21, but it had a verbal description of below passing rate. In terms of attitude, it showed that respondents from the midstream go to the highest composite mean value of 3.48, with the verbal description of agree and had "positive" attitude interpretation. Lastly, in terms of practice, it showed that resi9dents from upstream area got the highest composite mean value of .21, with the verbal description of seldom. The majority of participants were between 16 and 40 years old, according to the data obtained. Regarding the sex of the respondents, it was determined that the majority were females. Based on the significant difference among the upstream, midstream and downstream of the Banica River in terms of knowledge, attitude, and practice of the respondents. Results showed that there is no significant difference among the Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of the respondents in upstream, midstream and downstream locations. This implies that the respondents in the different locations of the stream have the same level of KAP. --Abstract
