"This study aimed to determine the performance of students when the three improvised set-ups (magnetic mapping, electric motor and electric generator) were utilized. It also intended to determine the students' level of understanding and level of knowledge, skills and attitude as far as the utilization of the set-ups were concerned. The respondents were the Grade 10 students of Maniba National High School. The researcher utilized the descriptive method. The researcher also used validated questionnaire to measure the students' level of understanding. The statistical tools applied in the study were percent error, mean, weighted mean, spearman rank correlation and standard deviation. The result of the study showed that the pretest performance of the students did not exceed the passing standard of the Department of Education and their post-test performance was in outstanding level. The improvement in their performance was attributed to the utilization of the set-ups made from locally available materials. Moreover, students' level of understanding and level of knowledge, skills and attitude were very high." --Abtsract
