ABSTRACT
The study is all about establishing a Weighbridge in the Municipality of Siquijor. It
situated at the Port of Larena, Siquijor, where RORO ramp are located. The main
objective is to provide weighbridge faclity that would cater the needs of the shippers
who have cargo transactions at the port. This facility is also needed to the travellers who
owned vehicles and will be travelling with their vehicles outside Siquijor.
The feasibility of the proposed project was assessed in terms of the following
aspect: (1) management aspect; (2) technical aspect of the project; (3) marketing
aspect; (4) financial aspect of the project and (5) the socio-economic desirability of the
project.
The study made by the researcher yields a very favourable result. In the
management point of view, the company will manage the operation daily in line with the
organizations goals and objectives. The proponent would hire the best people that
qualified to every job description and qualification. Technically, the project is made
feasible considering the services with a modern facilities offered by the company. In the marketing point of view, the project is really feasÃble since the respondents are willing to
patronize the facility and are capable in utilizing it. Financial results show that the
proposed project is financially feasible and pursuing it will yield a very good retur
investment to the proponent. This facility will benefit people from the municipality since it
would generate income for the locals and in return would help the community grow.
