ABSTRACT
This is a feasibility study on the conversion of the
Dumaguete Extension Office into a Branch Office.
The
proposed project is going to be one of the established
branch offices nationwide of Home Development Mutual Fund
or what is known as Pag--IBIG Fund, making the project the
6th Branch Office in the Visayas Region. It is going to be
located at North Road Daro, Dumaquete City, Negros Oriental
under a one story building with a ground floor of 300
Square meters.
The study was conducted in the Province of Negros
Oriental & Siquijor. There were 400
respondents that
consisted of the members of Pag-IBIG Fund coming from the
different towns and municipalities . The samples were chosen
by purposive non-random sampling. Informal interview
also conducted.

The viability of the proposed project is evaluated in
terms of the following aspects: (a) nature and extent of
the market; (b) technical aspects of
the project ; (c)
appropriate management structure; (d) financial feasibility
of the project and (e) socio-economic implications of the
project.
Findings of the study revealed that the project is
feasible from the marketing point of view. Technically, the
project is feasible considering its strategic location and
facilities it offers to satisfactorily serve its clients.
The
proposed project will adopt a functional
organization that will ensure coordination among the staff
form of
and personnel. On the financial aspect, the project will be
funded from the funds of Home
Development Mutual Fund
through proper allocation from the Department of Budget and
Management (DBM). This is a government undertaking that is
service-oriented. The financial analysis reveals that the
project is profitable which will
