FEASIBILITY STUDY ON INSTANT SALABAT CUBES<br/>ABSTRACT<br/>This study evaluates the feasibility of launching GingPops, a honey-infused ginger cube that offers a modern, convenient take on traditional salabat.Rooted in health and wellness trends, the product targets health-conscious consumers in Dumaguete City. A survey of 200 respondents revealed that 85% were interested in trying GingPops, citing health benefits,natural ingredients, and comforting taste as key purchasing drivers.Preferred packaging sizes included single-serve cubes (P12.00-P15.00) and 10-cube boxes(P140.00-P150.00),with physical stores being the top distribution choice. The technical plan situated the production facility in Dumaguete City for cost efficiency and raw material accessibility. GingPops is made of 85% ginger and 15% honey and packaged in resealable pouches. In the first year, the business is projected to incur a net loss of P44,718.20.However, despite this initial loss, financial projections demonstrate a clear path to growing profitability over the next five years. By Year 5,net income was anticipated to reachP168,08.83. The general partnership structure of GING5 Co. promotes collaborative management, while local sourcing and employment foster socioeconomic development.The study concludes that GingPops is feasible across marketing, technical, financial,managerial, and social dimensions. To ensure success, it is recommended to implement health-focused branding, launch trial-size, packaging, adopt a sustainable distribution model, conduct product sampling, and consider taste improvements or flavor variants.GingPops not only addresses consumer demand for convenient wellness beverages but also contributes to community livelihood and sustainability. |
