| Abstract, Summary, etc. | ABSTRACT <br/>It was the objective of this study to determine the feasibility and viability of establishing<br/>an Interior and Exterior Designer Shop in Calindagan, Dumaguete City, Negros<br/>Oriental. Specifically, the objectives are the following: (1) to determine the advantages<br/>and disadvantages, both financial and non-financial, in putting up an Interior and<br/>Exterior Designing Services in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. (2) to be precise in<br/>proposing this business in terms of its marketing, technical, organizational and<br/>management, financial, taxation and legal aspects. (3) to determine how the target<br/>market would respond to the proposed location. (4) to collect information as to the<br/>further needs and demands of the actual market. (5) to measure the competitiveness of<br/>the business industry in terms of appealing more market from the Municipalities other<br/>than project subject.<br/>The researcher employed the project feasibility method. Furthermore, the method<br/>also utilize the descriptive analysis of research basing from the five aspects (<br/>marketing, technical, management, financial and socio-economic aspect) of the study in<br/>determining the respondent's preferences in putting an interior and exterior designer shop in Calindagan, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. There are a total of 393<br/>respondents selected as respondents of the study. Thus, the study used survey<br/>questionnaire as a tool in gathering information or data collection. Random sampling<br/>was used in collecting data.<br/>On the basis of the vital findings of the study, the survey result shows that the<br/>proposed project is feasible from its marketing, technical, financial and socio-economic<br/>aspects. There were 84% percent who are willing to patronize the business and it<br/>means that the business is marketable. The layout design of the project is suitable for<br/>the business and new to the place. The project is financially feasible and viable,<br/>because of such indicators profitability and operation efficiency that will result to a<br/>favorable financial condition. Finally the business will of big help to the economy and will<br/>generate employment opportunities in the said location of the business and will cater<br/>the needs of the people. |
