Abstract, Summary, etc. ABSTRACT<br/>Extracurricular affiliations have been an important part of the education system. It<br/>immerses the students in newW knowledge and experiences which are hard to attain in<br/>the classroom setting. The trade-off between academic performance and joining<br/>extracuricular affiliations has been a subject of interest for quite a time. This study<br/>explored the demographic information of students involved in extracurricular affiliations<br/>such as the course, GPA or academic performance, year level, socio-economic status<br/>and their respective affiliations. This study also explored the relationship between the<br/>students' academic performance to year level, socio-economic status and<br/>extracurricular affiliations. Chi-square has been used to determine the significance of<br/>these relationships. Students' perception on the effects of extracurricular afiliations was<br/>quantified using weighted mean method. Findings from these tests provide an additional<br/>insight for maxíimízing the benefits of extracurricular affliations and academic institution<br/>to fully develop the potential of students.
