Abstract Abstract<br/>It was the objective of this study to determine the<br/>feasibility of Sericulture in Bantayan, Kabankalan,<br/>Negros Occiental.<br/>In this project feasibility study, the methods used<br/>interview, observation, and documentary analysis.<br/>The result of the study indicates that based on the<br/>underlying assmpt ions, Sericulture project in Bantayan,<br/>Negros Occidental is feasible. In surmaryr from the<br/>technical point of view Sericulture is feasible . Several<br/>business endeavor of the same kind are already in<br/>operation and is proven a success. On the financial point<br/>of view/aspect Sericulture is profitable and feasible.<br/>The project needs only a small amount of capital izat ion<br/>to start and promi ses a very big deal of returns. On the<br/>management aspect it is al so found to be feasible. A<br/>good management practice is needed to ensure success in<br/>this kind of business endeavor. With regards to expertise<br/>it can be learned and master as the business grows and<br/>with the free training and seminars skills needed to be<br/>developed in this kind of business will surely be<br/>learned. With regards to Marketing aspect cocoons have a<br/>very high demand both in local and foreign markets. The<br/>project is also social ly desirable and economically<br/>acceptable.<br/>The project if carried out will benefit the people<br/>of Bantayan, the Province and the Country. Specifically<br/>some of the economic benefits are employment benefits,<br/>improved farming practices, utilization of labor and<br/>skills, improve GNP, Source of funds for the government<br/>and sericulture project have environmental contribut ion<br/>also.
