EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Featuring the map of Negros Oriental with the use of internet has been
developed by the researchers for the main reason that the existing major digital
maps, such as Google and Yahoo map are broad enough for an individual who
wants to explore the entire province. In relation with this, there is also an existing
map of the Negros Oriental which is indeed proper organization of information
has been the major problem. These are the idea wherein the researchers
propose the web based system entitled Negros Oriental iGuide Map. The letter "i"
stands for internet and "Guide" for guiding private transports throughout the
province of Negros Oriental.
This is a kind of a web based system that the main purpose is to guide all
private transport in numerous cities and municipalities in the province desired
destination. It offers predefined route from the point of origin to the point of
destination. However, the system is not concerned for the routes of barangays
from point to another in each cities and municipalities, especially in all the
establishments except for schools and universities, annual events, tourist spots,
hospitals and hotels.
In using this system, anyone can take a glimpse in the entire province with
no hassle because of its features where anyone can know what are the colleges
and universities, annual events, tourist spots, restaurants, hospitals and hotels of
a certain city or municipality in the entire province.
The map of this web based system is for everyone who wants to visit the
site and can access the map with no interruption or disturbance as long as they
have an internet connection. Negros Oriental iGuide Map is an exquisite site to
explore the wonders of the beautiful province of Negros Oriental.
A user-friendly system and with organized detail information in every cities
and municipalities, tourists can utilize their time, money and effort in visiting the office of tourism to get an information about a certain city or municipality. Hence,
this study will be also useful particularly the Government Institutions such as
Negros Oriental Tourisms Office. This study provides unique features that could
fill the acking of the existing website. The researcher's believes that the
proposed and developed system will even more productive and efficient if there
