EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Foundation University is one of the universities in Dumaguete City
established in 1949. This university consists of a thousand students. Normally
students will always bringing money along with them. The students encountered
problems such as lost of money or the money is stolen in the boarding house
where they stay. And sometimes the money that is intended for tuition is spent
without telling it to their parents. Parents are thinking that their son/daughter
already paid the tuition. These problems motivated the researchers to develop a
system that will reduce instances like lost of money, stolen money and misuse of
money. Systems that will ensure the student's money are safe and secured.
This system is all about loading money to the ID Card online. In order for
the student can use this systen; student should have a savings account in the
SG bank. SG Bank offers microfinance loans and deposits, salary loans,
agricultural loans, deposit services, payment of bills, accredited banks authorized
to collect SSS payments, remittances. If the student has already a savings
account he/she can deposit money on it. Then, they can now request to the bank
to load money from his/her saving account to his card through online. The
backend of this process was that, the money requested by the student from his
savings account will be transferred to the Foundation University's bank account.
This process is using EFT or Electronic Fund Transfer. It is transferring money
from one bank account to another account using electronic means. Once the
request is confirm by the bank. The student can now use the ID card for
payment.
If this proposed project will be implemented it will give convenience and
less hassle to the students. The students will not anymore go to the bank
personally to request to transfer money to their ID Card. They can just do it
online. It can be access 24/7 as long as there is an internet connection and the
server is on. Parents wil be happy with this because they can assure that their
money will be secure and spend accordingly.
