Executive Summary
It is an unequivocal fact that most Dumagueteños loved to shop around different
establishments to look for the best available price or quality for a particular item. There
are myriad establishments to opt for in the Dumaguete proper alone, but most shoppers
are always looking forward to the reduced price of items from establishments going on
sale due to the economic crisis today. People chose to be practical due to high tax rates
and financial problems. But nowadays, people are so busy that they have no time to go
for window shopping and look for on sale items. It is true that window shopping is fun
but this is not applica ble all the time because of the fact that comparison of prices from
different establishments is time-consuming and stressful. It is costly in terms of money
and effort. People have a difficulty in finding an item which costs them a lot of time to
locate.
Online Window Shopping Buddy provides a solution for the convenience of the
shoppers. The information of a particular item is posted on the said system, whether it
is on sale or not. It provides the exact location where an establishment can be found as
well as the item. Online Window Shopping Buddy also provides some shoppers
feedbacks about the item. These are only some of the many features of the system.
The goal of this study is to create a new world of window shopping. The shoppers can do
window shopping without exerting too much effort, time and money. Indeed, it focuses
on how it can help customers compare prices while saving time and effort, view
products they wish to buy and latest promos without going from one place to another
but r the internet only. It will be comfortable for shoppers because their window
shopping will be done in just one click away.
