Dissertation note: Summary: The research fieldwork was carried out in riparian buffer zones in Barangay Apalong, Valencia, Negros Oriental. From August to October 2023, a one (1) km transect line sampling took places every weekend in three (3) sites. A total of 44 butterflies were identified and discovered, 23 species of Nympalidae, seven (7) species of Papilionidae and pieridae, four (4) species of Hesperiidae and three (3) species of Lyndinidae.
