English for cultural literacy, grade seven, is the response of FNB Educational, Inc. to the innovative approach to English teaching and learning in the grade seven level. The ECL Series revolves around the need to help the learners be aware of and demonstrate communicative competence in English through their knowledge of the literature of the Philippines and other text types for a deeper appreciation of our culture. In line with this aim, the varied lessons and activities for classroom teaching included in the worktext have been aligned with the program, grade, content, and performance standards, as well as with the learning competences set forth by the Department of Education in th K to 12 curriculum program guide.
