Summary: ABSTRACT This is a feasibility study on the establishment of a DCCCO Satellite Office in Sibulan, Negros Oriental. The proposed project is going to be the first satellite office of DCCC0. It is going to be located at Osmeña Street., Poblacion, Sibulan, Negros Oriental under a two-story building owned by the Municipality of Sibulan. The study was conducted in the Municipality of Sibulan and the DCCCo Dumaguete Branch. There were 97 respondents who were members of DCCCO residing in Sibulan, Negros Oriental. The samples were chosen by snowball sampling. Informal interview was also conducted. The viability of the proposed project is evaluated in terms of the following aspects: (a) nature and extent of the market; (b) technical aspects of the project; (c) appropriate management structure; (d) financial feasibility of the project; and (e) socio-economic implications of the project. Findings of the study revealed that the project is feasible from the marketing point of view. Technically, the project is feasible considering its strategic location and facilities it offers to serve satisfactorily its members. The proposed project will only need two tellers who will report directly to the Head In-House Teller of the Dumaguete Branch as the operations of a satellite office are limited to receipt of deposits and payments, and servicing of withdrawals. On the financial aspect, the project will be funded by the DCCCO Dumaguete Branch which will be approved by the General Assembly on March 11, 2012 during the annual meeting. The financial analysis reveals that the project is profitable which will help improve the revenue generation of the cooperative. Socio-economic implications of the project include employment generation and social desirability that will make the project acceptable and the services of DCCCO closer to its members in Sibulan and neighboring towns and island.
