ABSTRACT
The objective of study is to determine the feasibility of establishing THUMB EASE Baked and
Sugar Confectionery Shop at Perdices Street, Dumaguete City. It offers a variety of sweets and
baked confectionery. It will be a ONE STOP Shop for various kinds of sweet treats.
The different aspects of business are considered in the feasibility study such as the
management, marketing, technical, fnancial and socio-economic desirability aspects which will
be discussing various but relevant information of the study.
Prior to conducting the study, the researchers had used the Sloven's formula to come up
with are three hundred ninety-nine (399) respondents qualified for gathering information to the
proposed project through utilization of survey questionnaires. Before the questionnaires were A Feasibility on establishing Thumb Ease...
distributed, the researchers had pretested their questions by asking some of their friends and
family members. Assistance was given to those respondents who are aging 10-12 years old, with
their parent's supervision as well. Once the questions were pretested, the rescarchers cascaded
the questionnaires within the downtown area. They went inside fast food chains and other
establishments to look for individuals who have time to spare. The shop will be located at the
downtown area of Dumaguete City where a lot of people pass by thus cementing its strategic
location. The entity will be utilizing social media sites as its main avenue to promote its product.
The entity is a sole proprietorship with a starting capital of P1,800,000.00. The shop bakes its
cakes and pastries daily and also accepts orders for such on occasions and other events. For the
sugar confectionery, i.e. chocolates, candies, gummies and the like, the entity will be getting said
products from suppliers in Cebu City.
The study concludes that the proposed project is feasible in different aspects. Majority of
the respondents are willing to patronize it, which further implies that the establishment of
THUMB EASE Baked and Sugar Confectionery will be acceptable to the public.
