ABSTRACT
The implement of RFID-based Student Attendance Monitoring and SMS
System will heip to overcome and reduce worried among parents. This project is
Combination the latest technology using RFID, SMS server, and web based
develop using PHP, Java Script. Apache Neb Server and MySql. The RFID
reader is connected to the host computer via a serial to USB converter cable and
via LAN cable. When the student enters the classroom, they must swipe their ID
in the RFID reader. Then, the information about the student such as time in and
time out from the classroom will be recorded to web based system and SMS
server automatically sends their parent's/guardian's mobile to inform that the
student enter the class. The development of the SAMS helps classroom to better
manage its student's attendance and will inform the parents when the student
have a class. RFID-based SAMS will provide the rooms with a computer system
that can store its student's information efficiently in a database. Therefore, with
SAMS it is hoped that classroom will have a better and efficient management of
its students and hence improves its operations.
Radio frequency identification systems.
Student attendance records--Automation.
Short message service (Telecommunication)
Educational technology.
