"The CEMCOM Story : The Day We Nearly Lost Mindanao reveals another heroic feat of the Armed Forces of The Philippines, particularly that of the Central Mindanao Command (CEMCOM). In this unique piece of literature, the then CEMCOM commanding General, MGEN FORTUNATO U. ABAT (Ret.) reveals the crucial role played by the CEMCOM in arresting efforts of the Muslim Secessionist Movement to establish a separate Bangsa Moro Republic in Southern Philippines. It is discloses the systematic manner - from the planning stages up to the actual operations - by which MGEN ABAT and his men successfully contained hostilities in that region.
