It was the the objective of the study is to determine the viability of establishing a
Chocolate Bar at Hibbard Piapi, Dumaguete City. The specific areas that are
considered in this study are the following: (1)The marketing easibility of the
proposed project;(2) The technical feasibility of the proposed project; (3) The
financial viability of the proposed project; (4) The appropriate management
structure; and (5) The socio-economic practicality and acceptability of the proposed
project. The name of the proposed project is Chocolandia Sweet Café.
The researchers employed the deseriptive study and feasibility inquiry approach.
The study made use of survey questionnaire as an instrument in data collection. A
total of 300 respondents from locals of DumagueteCity using the random sampling
method of collecting data. The prepared questionnaires were distributed to the
respondents.
The business has an appropriate management structure which is composed of 22
employees. It is financially viable because the financial analysis and evaluation
showed that it is profitable with 5 years, 8 months, 24 days payback period and ROI
of 11.35% in the first year which increases every year. Finally, the business will
generate employment in the city of Dumaguete, meet the needs and wants of the
employees and residents of Dumaguete, and create additional income to the
government.
