General note | Ang Wow, Filipino! ay serye ng mga aklat sa Filipino sa Jumior High School na maingat na inihanda sunod sa K-12 Curriculum ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon. Tampok dito and mga bagong akdang pampanitikang masusing sinaliksik at masinop na isinalin o muling-isinalaysay mula sa Pilipinas at iba't-ibang panig ng mundo. Nagbibigay ito ng ekspertong talakay sa mga paksang pangwika at pampanitikan na sinusoportahan ng mga gawaing tumtutugon sa kalikasan at pangangailangan ng Generation Z.<br/>Sumusunod ang Wow, Filipino! sa framework ng Outcomes-Based Education (OBE). Bawat aralin ay nagsisimula sa mga layuning pampagkatutong (expected learning outcomes) inaasahang makakamit ng mga mag-aaral. Sinusundan ito ng mga gawain sa pagtataya (assessment task) na titiyak naman ng matagumpay na pagkakamit ng nasabing mga layunin. Ang gawain sa pagtataya ay nakabatay sa disenyong Problem-Based Learning (PBL) upang matiyak na kontekstuwalisado ito sa realidad ng buhay at nakatutugon sa tunay na mga suliranin ng tao, lipunan, o mundo. Ipinapakita ang tumbasan ng gawain at target na layunin upang malinaw na masundan ang pagkakatugma-tugma (constructive alignment) ng layunin-pagtataya-aralin-gawain. Bawat gawain sa pagtataya ay ginagabayan ng komprehensibong rubric.<br/>Nililinang ang mga kasanayanng pampagkatuto sa ika-21 siglo, sagana sa mga gawaing magpapataasng kakayahan sa pananaliksik, may matibay na integrasyon ng teknolohiya, maraming pagkakataon sa kolaborasyon- palalalimin ng serye ang pagpapahalaga ng mga mag-aaral sa kanilang katutubo at pambansang pagkakakilanlan habang pinalalawak ang kanilang oryentasyong global.<br/>Kaysayang matuto!
