Summary: This graduate thesis aimed to determine the writing proficiency level of the Grade-12 HUMMS students of Siaton National High School and the level of problems in these writing experienced. It uses conventions in writing such as vocabulary, grammar, spelling topic sentence, supporting sentence and transition signal. A descriptive-correlative research using a validated instrument. Findings revealed that the academic performance of the students in reading and writing skills and in 21st century literature from the Philippines and the worlds is very satisfactory.
