Summary: "Aimed to determine the factors that influenced students' career track preferences. These factors are categorized as personal, situational and environmental. The respondents of the study are the Grade 11 students of DepEd Dumaguete City Division during the school year 2017-2018. The study utilized descriptive type of research and the statistical tools used for the treatment of data are percentage, weighted mean, chi-square and Slovin's formula. The study revealed a great majority of students chose Academic Track wherein most of them prefer Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMMS). Students' career track preferences are highly influenced by personal and environmental factors. The result revealed that there is significant relationship between students' career track preference and the personal factors and environmental factors; however situational factors are found not to be significant with the students' career track preference. Students' career track preference is significantly related to their profile in terms of sex, family income and number of siblings while age parents' civil status are found to be not significant. In general, it is concluded that Grade 11 students still prefer academic track for their career track regardless of their socio-economic status and are not well-oriented on the objectives and intentions of the Senior High School." --Abstract
