It covers the following corecompetencies:(1) preparation of egg dishes;(2)preparation of starch-rich dishes; (3) preparation of vegetable dishes; (4) preparation ofseafood dishes; (5) preparation of stocks, soups, and sauces; and (6) preparation of meat dishes.The preliminaries of this explorator course include the following:(1)relevance of the course;(2)key conceps relative to the course; (3) career opportunities; and (4) basic practices inrelation to the course.
Upon finishingthis course, the learner may merit the National Certificate Level II (NC II)upon passing the TESDA Qualification Standard Certificate Level (NC II) in Cookery.
Through this course, it is hoped that the learners will be able to obtain the knowledge,skills,and attitude of the course; and if successful enough, gainful profitable employment within thefood industry.
