This study has been conducted to observe the awareness of Local and
Foreign Tourist on the Anti-smoking Ordinance in Dumaguete City. In this study
Demographic, the awareness of the Local and Foreign Tourist and the effects of the
anti-smoking ordinance have been observed. The interest is in identifying how these
personalities have knowledge about the anti-smoking ordinance implemented in the
City.
The researchers were able to reach the following findings at the end of the
study. Majority of the Local and Foreign Tourist respondents are aware of the anti-
smoking ordinance that had been implemented recently. Most of the respondents
had a positive attitude towards the effectiveness of the ordinance. Shows
determination, dedication and firm implementation of the ordinance by the
government and the respect of the tourists to the law implemented in the Citvy will
achieve significant improvement to the ordinance. On analysis it is discovered that
there is a sianificant relationship between the type of tourist and the effects of the
implementation of the anti-smoking ordinance.
