Through the use of computer in business, it is easy to process information with great speed accuracy and reliability. Functions like performing calculation, storing, sorting vast quantities of data, text editing and word processing, data processing, variety of problem solving and networking can be done systematically in the computer. Computer information is all-powerful. With the right and proper use of the technology many things can be accomplished that can increase efficiency and productivity in any industry. Today, companies often do away with manual-clerical works. They rather have computer technology that can help make their work faster, easier and more productive, that which can manage information efficiently, can enhance creativity and can have competitive edge in today's market. Here in Dumaguete City, competition exists in the lodging business. As we have observed, many visitors/tourists, both local and foreign, are pouring in to this City of gentlepeople. Therefore, a well functioning reservation system of this COASTAL INN is a must. Reservations are the life force of any hotel operation.
