Summary: Abstract It was the objective of this study to determine the feasibility of Sericulture in Bantayan, Kabankalan, Negros Occiental. In this project feasibility study, the methods used interview, observation, and documentary analysis. The result of the study indicates that based on the underlying assmpt ions, Sericulture project in Bantayan, Negros Occidental is feasible. In surmaryr from the technical point of view Sericulture is feasible . Several business endeavor of the same kind are already in operation and is proven a success. On the financial point of view/aspect Sericulture is profitable and feasible. The project needs only a small amount of capital izat ion to start and promi ses a very big deal of returns. On the management aspect it is al so found to be feasible. A good management practice is needed to ensure success in this kind of business endeavor. With regards to expertise it can be learned and master as the business grows and with the free training and seminars skills needed to be developed in this kind of business will surely be learned. With regards to Marketing aspect cocoons have a very high demand both in local and foreign markets. The project is also social ly desirable and economically acceptable. The project if carried out will benefit the people of Bantayan, the Province and the Country. Specifically some of the economic benefits are employment benefits, improved farming practices, utilization of labor and skills, improve GNP, Source of funds for the government and sericulture project have environmental contribut ion also.
