- Abstract
The results of the environmental issues around us are from fertilizer losses, industrial wastes and domestic wastes. But domestic waste is one of thebiggest problems of human activity. In raising awareness aboutenvironmental protection, the researchers have come up with this studybecause of the heed to reuse wastepaper as a slow-release eco-friendlyvermicomposting fertilizer. The use of wastepaper is beneficial not only tothe plants but especially to people. Why wastepaper? Wastepaper is madeup of plant fibers and is also a potent carbon source for a compost pile.Thepaper combined with other nitrogen-rich materials usually yields nutrient-rich fertilizers. To know its validity, the researchers test in determining itssoil fertility and how fast a seedling could grow. The tests were work ability, the color of the soil, color of the plant, soil texture, and lastly, soil organism. The length of the plant and leaf count are the tests for the plant's growth. From the five trials conducted by the researchers, it is observed that wastepaper can be a slow-release eco-friendly vermin compost fertilizer that is easy to work on and affordable.

-Students' challenges at the start of the pandemic have caused several academic and social concerns. For this reason, this study wanted to determine how Collaborative Learning strategies, as intervention, improve the academic performance of Grade 6 students at St. Paul University dumaguete (SPUD) in two constructs in learning Science: satisfaction (as a customer) and achievement (as a student). The study employed a Classroom-Based Action Research design in a case study approach participated by twenty-one students. It utilized the SPUD's Customer satisfaction Surveyitems on the key area of Delivery of Instructions and teacher-made pre and post-it eats,semi-structured interviews, and reflective journal prompts as qualitative and quantitative data sources. Results were analyzed using joint display analysis and Wilcox on Signed-Rank Test. Results showed that the student's satisfaction has an overall average mean of 4.45,interpreted as"very satisfied" with the teacher's delivery of instruction. The interview references and meta-inferences support this,as well. Moreover, the students'pre and post-test scores at 95% level of confidence yielded significantdifference.Based on these results,Collaborative Learning strategies can help improve students'satisfaction and achievement in learning science while also ensuring an inclusive virtual classroom environment where relevant technology/resources for class engagement and classroom management are present.
