ABSTRACT
This feasibility study explores the potential establishment of Baye-Baye Bites, a proposed food enterprise offering bite-sized variants of the traditional Filipino delicacy,Baye-Baye. Initially conceived as a business-to-consumer (B2C) venture, the study shifted to a business-to-business (B2B) model, targeting cafés in Dumaguete City as primary clients. The study examined five key aspects, marketing, technical, management, financial, and socio-economic,to evaluate the viability of the enterprise. Data was gathered through surveys, interviews, and financial analysis. Findings from the marketing aspect revealed limited demand within the target market, with only 25% of cafés surveyed outsourcing their kakanin.
The technical and management aspects were found to be operationally sound, with an implementable workflow, appropriate staffing structure, and compliant facility setup.Socio-economically,the business showed promise in supporting local suppliers and generating employment. However, the financial analysis revealed consistent net losses over a five-year forecast, primarily due to low market penetration and high operational costs. In conclusion, while Baye-Baye Bites demonstrated strength in production, management, and community alignment, the overall business concept was deemed partially feasible. Key limitations in market demand and financial sustainability must be addressed through revised strategies, expanded research, and potential restructuring for the venture to become viable.
